Central bank preliminarily sets May inflation in Russia at 0.28%
MOSCOW, Jun 1 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank preliminarily estimates the seasonally adjusted inflation in May at 0.28%, the authority said in a statement on May 29.
"The consumer price growth slightly accelerated after a consequent deceleration since the start of May, to 0.10% from May 19 until May 25 (as compared with 0.01% over a six-day period from May 13 until May 18),” the central bank said.
“Seasonally adjusted growth of prices was preliminarily estimated at 0.28%. The estimate of annual inflation stood at 3.0–3.1%."
According to the authority, the risk balance shifted to disinflation from pro-inflation over the last week.
